Using the Flexible LoRa Antenna 868 MHz Gooseneck Whip for Meshtastic & MeshCore (SMA / RP-SMA) antenna, it greatly improved the communication distance compared to the original antenna on my wio tacker L1 Pro

kable was a bit short for my liking. works like a charm though. just plugged into my V4 and it worked instantly

The flex antenna is working way better than the antenna I had already.

the heltec v4 worked out the box with no issues. took less than 20 seconds to flash and get working with meshcore.

Very nice equipment—an antenna that appears to be very sturdy and whose performance has allowed my Meshcore relay (42SGEN🔋☀️📡) to significantly extend its range compared to a 20-cm antenna.
The packaging is sturdy as well.
Just be sure to use a suitable mount, as the antenna is heavy and has significant wind resistance.
I have absolutely no regrets about my purchase—quite the opposite.

Used on my Thinknode M1, so i got the RP-SMA male version.
Performance is better than the stock short stubby antenna, anyway, lacking proper instrumentation I can't give objective, numerical data.
It looks like it can withstand some abuses, like being placed inside a backpack.
Overall a nice product.
Only complain is the lack of something to cover the base of the connector on the Thinknode, since the outer sleeve of the antenna connector doesn't reach its base.
Shipping took about 7 days (Italy)

Works perfectly paired with a T-Beam!
Receives the signal perfectly.

Daher volle ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

L'appareil fonctionne très bien. Je vais en commander un 2eme.

Following a series of field tests conducted with two T-Deck devices operating on a LoRa/Meshtastic network, I evaluated the performance of the tactical antenna in both indoor and obstructed environments.

One of the primary test scenarios involved operating one of the devices inside an underground parking garage. This environment represents a particularly challenging RF scenario due to reinforced concrete structures, multiple walls, metal surfaces, vehicles and other obstacles that contribute to signal attenuation, multipath propagation and RF reflections.

Despite these conditions, the tactical antenna demonstrated a noticeable improvement in link performance and communication reliability. The tests showed that the antenna was capable of maintaining communication in situations with significant physical obstruction between the two devices.

Signal performance was evaluated using RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator), expressed in dBm, together with SNR (Signal-to-Noise Ratio). These measurements provided a useful indication of both received signal strength and overall link quality. Across different test distances and positions, the communication link remained operational and demonstrated consistent message delivery.

The main benefit observed was not limited to maximum communication range. In challenging RF environments, antenna performance has a significant impact on link budget and communication reliability. Even relatively small improvements in received signal levels, measured in dB, can increase the probability of successful packet reception and reduce the number of retransmissions required.

The antenna also performed well in environments where signal propagation was affected by multiple obstacles and non-line-of-sight conditions. The ability to maintain usable RSSI and SNR values under these circumstances is particularly relevant for LoRa/Meshtastic applications, where reliable low-power communications are often more important than simply achieving the maximum possible distance.

From a practical perspective, the tactical antenna provides a good balance between RF performance and portability. It is a suitable upgrade for users who require improved coverage, greater link stability and better performance in complex environments without significantly affecting the mobility of the T-Deck platform.

Overall, based on the RSSI, SNR, dB variations and distance measurements obtained during the tests, I consider the tactical antenna to be a significant performance upgrade for the T-Deck. Its ability to improve communication reliability in obstructed and RF-challenging environments makes it particularly suitable for LoRa and Meshtastic applications.

I would recommend this antenna to users looking to improve their RF link budget, increase communication reliability and achieve better overall performance in both indoor and non-line-of-sight scenarios.

I have 4 of these repeaters. As far as i can tell, they are very well designed and well built. I am very happy with them. The solar panel is enough to keep the device powered even through cloudy days. So fare they resisted moderate rain and quite strong winds.
But be aware that the antenna that ships with these is bad.
I tested the 4 i have on hand, and they are all tuned for ≈ 890 MHz and at 869 MHz they have a VSMR between 2.5 and 1.8. They are modestly better when bent at 90° angle. Please consider getting rid of them ASAP.

Nicely tuned, VSMR under 1.2 in two occurrences (different item, different nanoVNA). Good construction. Good value for its price.

Ontzettend goeie antenna heb bereik waar ik eerst niet eens van durfde te dromen, Ben er ontzettend blij mee

Great product and excellent service!
Everything from purchase to delivery was smooth and fast. The Heltec V4 works perfectly with great power and build quality. Highly recommended seller!

I’m using the Heltec WiFi LoRa 32 V4 (EU868) running MeshCore here in the UK, where there aren’t many Meshtastic nodes nearby — and honestly, I’m loving it. Setup was straightforward, it’s easy to configure, and it just works.
The 27 dBm high power really makes a difference — communication has been surprisingly successful and reliable, even with limited local infrastructure. Strong signal, great range, and the OLED display keeps you updated at a glance. No messing around, no unnecessary complexity — flash the firmware, power it up, and you’re on air.
Whether you’re building a standalone node or joining a mesh with fewer neighbours, this board delivers. Powerful, dependable, and genuinely easy to just use. Highly recommended!

I needed an enclosure for the dual IO base board and the 1W wismesh board(s).
Fits nicely. If you want battery backup, the battery doesn't fit underside the board, but can be fixed to the lid of the enclosure.
