Hexaspot started with two friends, a garage full of antennas and the early days of the Helium network. Today we're part of Connect IoT Group in Alkmaar, shipping LoRa, Meshtastic and LoRaWAN hardware to makers and businesses across Europe.
Every Hexaspot order still comes from the same place it always did: people who get far too excited about squeezing another kilometre out of a LoRa link.
Hexaspot was founded by Tobias and Rick, two friends who got hooked on the Helium network back when it was still the wild west of LoRa. Hotspot owners everywhere wanted better coverage, and the answer was almost always better antennas and better cables.
So that's what we sold, packed by hand in a garage that slowly disappeared under boxes of coax.

The orders kept coming and the garage ran out of room. We moved into our own unit: more shelves, a proper packing station and space to stock the hardware the community was asking for.
Still a garage, technically. Just a much bigger one.

At the height of the Helium boom, Dutch YouTuber Creffie came by to upgrade his Helium hotspot setup with us. It's one of the very few videos of Tobias and Rick together, and a nice snapshot of how much the community was buzzing back then.

Then came moving day: everything packed up and moved to Connect IoT in Alkmaar. Hexaspot became part of Connect IoT Group, alongside the teams building the rest of the IoT stack, from sensors and gateways to network servers and dashboards.
The founders went with it, and so did the obsession with RF.
