This genuine TE Connectivity Linx pigtail connects a board with an MHF4 (IPEX4) antenna socket to an external SMA antenna, using a sealed bulkhead connector that mounts cleanly through your enclosure wall. It is a quality-manufactured RF assembly with gold-plated contacts and a 0.81mm coax rated up to 6 GHz, not a generic clone.
If you are building a compact LoRa node, a solar Meshtastic or MeshCore device, or any project where the board uses the smaller MHF4 connector, this is the pigtail that gets a real antenna onto the outside of your build.
Important: This Is an MHF4 Connector, Not Standard U.FL
There are several sizes of miniature RF connector that look similar but are not compatible with each other. This pigtail uses the MHF4 (also called IPEX4 or I-PEX MHF4) connector, which is the smallest of the common types. Before ordering, confirm your board uses MHF4, not the larger U.FL / IPEX1 / MHF1.

What This Pigtail Lets You Do
Compact LoRa boards with an MHF4 socket are designed to be small, which means the antenna connection is a tiny surface-mount socket, not something you can attach a real antenna to directly. This pigtail solves that:
- Snap the MHF4 plug onto your board's antenna socket
- Mount the SMA bulkhead through a hole in your enclosure wall, secured with its nut
- Screw any SMA antenna onto the outside
The result is a weatherproof, professional-looking build where the antenna is properly external and the electronics stay sealed inside.
