LMR-400 Helium Assemblies – The Coverage enhancement

LMR-400 Cable assemblies – Low Loss Helium Interconnect

Previously Hotspot devices in Europe had a higher Power Output rating. Now that there is a new restriction on output power in Europe, it has never been more important to use LMR-400 Cable assemblies as the perfect low loss interconnect.

Previously, “RG” type coaxial Cables were used between the Helium Devices and antennas.  RG cables are now a very undesired option due to their very high loss characteristics – combined with their ability to increase their Attenuation over time – directly resulting in degraded Hotspot range and coverage.

LMR-400 Cable Assemblies Vs RG-58 Cable Assemblies

  • RG-58 cable RF Signal Insertion Loss over 10 Metres at EU 868 MHz  Frequency is nominally  5.2 dB (that’s only 56.4% efficiency)
  • LMR-400 Loss over 10 Metres at EU 868 MHz Frequency: 1.4dB (Much higher coverage, 74.8% efficiency!)

The difference between the two is 3.8 dB’s – even 3 dB’s is a huge improvement of x 2 the Power Output, this is a very dramatic performance boost!

Our connectors are waterproof if connected the right way. We do highly suggest wrapping waterproof tape around the connections that are outside susceptible to rain to prevent any moisture from coming in and weakening the signal.

Serious and reliable company

I bought a 7.5 dbi and an lmr400 cable here, I had a consultation with Tobias beforehand about which cable I should take with regard to the connections ... helped great and shipping went quickly.

Later ordered another antenna from Hexaspot, definitely recommended if you need an antenna, cable, adapter etc. to order from them, they are not the cheapest but do deliver quality products and not those cheap imitation cables, for example.

Thicc is an understatement

Man this cable felt like a scam when ordering.
80€ for a cable? But since everybody recommended it and I calculated the signal loss between this and a cheap RG 58 cable and it made a big difference, I went ahead and ordered it.
This sht is thicc and sturdy I never felt a cable like this before.
I get why its this expensive. Would recommend this thing is robust and is paid off in 1 Month :)
