Outdoor Repeater Kit — Complete Meshtastic & MeshCore Pole-Mount Setup (EU868)
Pickup available at Hexaspot HQ
Usually ready in 24 hours
Everything you need to deploy an outdoor Meshtastic repeater — in one box. This kit combines the solar-powered WisMesh Repeater Mini with a professional 6 dBi McGill outdoor antenna, low-loss LMR-400 cable, stainless steel pole mount, and weather sealing tape. No guesswork, no compatibility questions, no missing parts.
Mount the antenna on a pole or mast, connect the cable to the repeater, seal the connections, and your mesh network gains a high-performance relay point that runs on solar power — indefinitely.

Why This Kit?
Buying a repeater is the easy part. Figuring out which antenna fits, which cable you need, which mount works, and how to weatherproof it — that's where most people get stuck. This kit eliminates all of that. Every component is tested together and confirmed compatible. Mount the antenna, connect the cable, attach the repeater, seal the connections, done.
The 6 dBi McGill antenna is our most popular outdoor antenna for a reason. It's the sweet spot between gain and radiation pattern — enough to dramatically extend your mesh range, with a wide enough beam to cover nodes at slightly different elevations. Combined with the solar-powered Repeater Mini, you get a relay station that runs autonomously for months or years without maintenance.
Performance
The stock WisMesh Repeater Mini with its included blade antenna covers 1–5 km depending on terrain. This kit — with the 6 dBi outdoor antenna mounted on a pole — extends that to 5–20+ km in flat terrain like the Netherlands, Belgium, or northern Germany. In hilly or urban areas, expect 3–10 km depending on placement height and line of sight.
For the technical background on why antenna choice matters more than any firmware setting, read our Complete EU868 Antenna Guide.
Installation Overview
- Mount the antenna — use the McGill antenna's included U-bolt clamp to attach it to a pole or mast at the highest point available
- Mount the repeater — attach the Repeater Mini to the same pole using the included Unify Pole Mounting Kit. Position it below the antenna with the solar panel facing south (in the Northern Hemisphere)
- Connect the cable — run the LMR-400 cable from the antenna (N-Female) down to the repeater's RP-SMA port — direct fit, no adapter needed
- Seal the connections — wrap each outdoor connector joint with the weather sealing tape to prevent moisture ingress
- Configure — pair with the Meshtastic app via Bluetooth, set to ROUTER or REPEATER mode, and you're live
Total installation time: approximately 30–60 minutes.
Compatible With
- Meshtastic firmware (pre-installed on the Repeater Mini)
- MeshCore firmware (reflashable)
- All EU868 Meshtastic and MeshCore devices
Want Even More Range?
Upgrade the antenna to a 9 dBi McGill antenna (€99.95) for maximum flat-terrain coverage, or add a Lightning Protector (€45.96) for installations on tall structures or exposed locations. Need a longer cable run? The LMR-400 cables are available in multiple lengths.
Pair It With
- WisMesh Pocket V2 (€99) — handheld device to communicate over your new repeater
- WisMesh Tag (€47) — compact GPS tracker that benefits from extended repeater range
- Lightning Protection (€45.96) — recommended for exposed rooftop or mast installations
