Really massive box, well thought trough, good for probably any location out there. Materials are also quality.
After receiving consultancy from Hexaspot I decided to go for an outdoor enclosure to keep the coax as short as possible. The enclosure contains all you need to create the PoE connection and even has some Velcro tape for securing your miner and the splitter.
For cable management, there's also a flexible coax extending wire included to make it even easier to manage. I'm surprised how complete this package is!
I used the antenna mast clamp to extend it slightly with PVC pipe to reach over the top of the roof. The 6Dbi antenna is mounted to this pipe with the included mount set of the antenna.
Even with the current snowstorm, the enclosure isn't having any problem, and I've seen my rewards increase significantly!
I would suggest getting some weather sealing connector tape to secure the cable glands.
All together I'm completely satisfied by the service and goods received by Hexaspot I will definitely buy here again for future setups!
As "the shorter the better" is an important rule with coax, this enclosure is a must!
It has more than enough room inside to house the miner, POE and even more if needed.
As it's 100% waterproof it's nice to place it just underneath the antenna (so you can keep the coax as short as possible).
An option is to DIY a "small" antenna directly on the box, but as I'm using a 9dBi McGill this was not an option for me.
One thing I do not like about this product, is that once everything has been fitted, you will not see it for a long time :-(
