Meshtastic/LoRa Antenna 2.6 dBi (EU868)
Pickup available at Hexaspot HQ
Usually ready in 24 hours
The easiest upgrade for your WisMesh Repeater Mini. This compact 868 MHz antenna is specifically tuned for the EU868 band and delivers a measurable range improvement over the stock blade antenna that ships with the Repeater Mini. At €9.95, it's the highest-impact upgrade for the lowest cost.
With a gain of 2.6 dBi and an exceptionally tight VSWR of ≤1.4, this antenna wastes almost no power on reflection — nearly everything your radio transmits reaches the air. That matters when you're working with LoRa's 25 mW transmit power and trying to push signals over kilometres.
Key Features
- 2.6 dBi gain — more than double the effective radiated power compared to the stock blade antenna
- VSWR ≤1.4 — among the best VSWR ratings in this price range. Minimal reflected power, maximum efficiency
- 868 MHz tuned (863–870 MHz) — specifically designed for the EU868 band, not a wideband compromise
- N-Male connector — connects to the WisMesh Repeater Mini via an N-Female to SMA-RP-Male adapter (€9.98)
- 50Ω impedance — matches all standard LoRa radio modules
- Compatible with Meshtastic, MeshCore, LoRaWAN, and Helium — any EU868 device with N-type or adapted connection
How to Connect to the WisMesh Repeater Mini
The WisMesh Repeater Mini has an RP-SMA antenna port. This antenna has an N-Male connector. To connect them, you need one adapter:
- Remove the stock blade antenna from the Repeater Mini
- Screw the N-Female to SMA-RP-Male adapter (€9.98) onto the Repeater Mini's RP-SMA port
- Screw this antenna onto the adapter
Total cost for the upgrade: €19.93 (antenna + adapter). That's less than €20 for a significant range boost on your repeater.
Why Upgrade Your Repeater's Antenna?
The stock blade antenna that ships with the Repeater Mini is designed to be compact — not to maximise range. It's a wideband design that covers multiple frequency bands, sacrificing tuning precision at 868 MHz. This antenna is tuned specifically for 868 MHz, resulting in better power transfer and noticeably further reach.
This is the ideal upgrade if you want better performance from your Repeater Mini without investing in a full outdoor antenna setup with cable and mounting hardware. Just swap the antenna, and you're done.
For even more range — especially for permanent outdoor installations — consider a McGill outdoor antenna (3–9 dBi) with an LMR-400 cable for a dedicated rooftop or pole-mount setup. Read our Complete EU868 Antenna Guide for help choosing.
